Te Puia, Rotorua

Some really hot stuff in Te Puia. All of this was part of the Whakarewarewa pa (an area where a people lived that was designed so that it could be more easily defended in case of invasion) on the grounds of the museum. We could feel the heat from the rocks through our shoes! The geyser here erupts all day at anywhere from 5-25 meters high.
